Roddy has worked for a number of the most innovative and well known global photography agencies, including the Image bank, Getty Images and Corbis Images and PacificCoastNews. Since leaving the photo agency business he maintains his passion for photography through Retina while working in the financial technology sector as a Business Analyst.

Paul has many years experience undertaking commissions for clients from all over the UK. He works for clients in the energy and aviation industry as well as the food and drink sectors. While his work takes him all over the world, he's also busy shooting personal work and running his studio in Leith.
Mhairi Bell-Moodie is recent BA Professional Photography graduate of Edinburgh College. Her work focuses on documenting stories through portraiture and reportage photography. In 2016, she will be showing work at the Free Range Graduate Shows in London and at Retina's Emerging Talent exhibition 2016.

Martin Mutch interest in photography started in his early teens when he was awarded the UK Young Photographer of the Year. He went on to set up the award winning technology tech business which he successfully sold in 2013. This has enabled him to instigate and fund the early stages of Retina believing that a Scottish, inclusive and annual Photography festival can grow to become a platform for young and emerging photographic talent.
Rhian is currently Owner & Producer of Edinburgh based Shore Production working with a long list of reputable clients. Rhian achieved BA (Hon) in Photography, Video and Digital Imaging from The University of Sunderland and has over 10 years working in various aspects of the photography industry from Photographers Assistant, Photographers Agent to Producer.
Oliver is fashion photographer currently in his final year of a BA Professional Photography at Edinburgh College. Winning Calumet student of the year 2015 and BIPP Open category 2015. Oliver started 2016 off by winning his first commercial job. Oliver feels that working in fashion allows him to rejoice in the fantastical side of photography and celebrate the more exciting imaginative side of creativity.

Alan McEwan has over 40 years of experience in professional photography with 20 years as a professional photographer and 20 years in education. He is the former Head of Photography, Computing and Design at Stevenson College Edinburgh. Alan is an Honorary Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography and is a member of both their Advisory Board and CPD Committee. He has extensive experience of photographic exhibitions in Edinburgh, Paris and London.
Anneleen Lindsay has been part of the Retina organising committee since May 2014, beginning as an intern whilst studying at Edinburgh College. She gained her BA in Professional Photography with Distinction in 2015, also qualifying as a Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers. Anneleen works as a freelance photographer, specialising in creative and editorial portraiture, with an emphasis on storytelling and drama. Anneleen has had her work published by the New York Times, the London Evening Standard and has exhibited in England, Scotland, Mexico, the US and Vietnam.
Jodie Mann is a professional creative photographer, filmmaker and retoucher from the Highlands of Scotland, now based in Edinburgh. Specialising in commercial and fine art fashion imagery, Jodie has around 5 years experience in the field whilst being entirely self-taught. As a visual storyteller, Jodie explores Scotland’s rich history, culture, nature and landscape to create striking and distinctive imagery. Inspired by the love of her Highland home; Jodie’s work is a cinematic blend of drama, power, grace and mystery with a strong commercial edge that is both recognisable and versatile.

Chris is a freelance photographer with over 20 years experience in the commercial sector. He is based primarily in Edinburgh but maintainsa base in London. He initially partnered with Roddy McRae in aiming to establish a Photography Festival before teaming up with the rest of team Retina. In the past 6 years Chris has produced a unique ‘live’ exhibition of author portraits at the Edinburgh International Book Festival and is currently working on a book of these portraits.
Ross Parker is a freelance photojournalist who specialises in Sports photography. Ross graduated from Edinburgh College in 2015 with a degree with distinction in Professional Photography. During his final year at college, he also won the Photojournalism category at the BIPP Scotland Student Awards and was commended in the AOP Student Awards.
Since completing his degree, Ross has gone on to gain regular employment in the industry with Glasgow based agency Scottish News and Sport (SNS). Working with SNS has provided the opportunity for Ross to photograph major sporting events such as The World Gymnastics Championships and resulted in his images being published in a long list of major UK publications including The Guardian and The Times newspapers.
Miriam Attwood runs Storytelling PR an arts publicity and advocacy company based in Edinburgh with clients all over the world. With the focus on the artists and their art (and funding) Miriam is carving out a niche for a new kind of PR that prioritises the artists, their world and goals - always working collaboratively. Companies and clients include Gary Tank Commander, Theatre Peckham, The Royal Croquet Club Adelaide, The Briefs Factory Australia, Summerhall Edinburgh, Aurora Nova Berlin and theatre makers and solo performers from across the UK and further afield. Miriam has previously held positions at the National Galleries of Scotland and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
